About Open Innovation Conference
Welcome to the exciting 3rd Annual International Open Innovation Conference, hosted by VinUniversity in collaboration with Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology and the Duke University’s Center for International Development. This event will take place at VinUniversity on December 2-3, 2026.
This year’s conference will explore the theme “Reshaping the AI-Powered Economy”, featuring pioneering ideas and sustainable solutions. It convenes thought leaders, policymakers, leading scholars, scientists, and practitioners committed to shaping the AI-powered economy across diverse sectors including economic transformation, smart manufacturing, consumer experience, digital agriculture, green infrastructure, energy, mobility, education, and healthcare.

OPEN INNOVATION CONFERENCE 2026 MAIN TRACKS
OIC 2026 invites scholars, innovators, industry leaders, policymakers and practitioners to contribute to a forward-looking conversation on how artificial intelligence and strategic technologies are reshaping economies, industries and societies.
The conference tracks are organized into two complementary pillars. The first pillar focuses on the economic, social, policy and service transformations enabled by AI. The second pillar highlights strategic science and technology domains that are critical for productivity growth, technological sovereignty, sustainable development and national competitiveness.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES
Selected papers submitted to OIC 2026 will be considered for publication in the OIC Proceedings with ISBN or invited for submission to a Special Issue of Asia & the Pacific Policy Studies. All publication opportunities are subject to the conference selection process and, where applicable, the journal’s standard editorial and peer-review procedures.
ASIA & THE PACIFIC POLICY STUDIES: Asia & the Pacific Policy Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Wiley and affiliated with the Crawford School of Public Policy at The Australian National University. The journal publishes policy-oriented research across economics, political science, governance, development, environment, and related fields, with a strong focus on Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the Pacific. It is recognized as a Q1 journal in Political Science and International Relations.
